Establish Mediline thermal packaging asa trusted product in the Turkish market by initiating a comparative study of the existing, locally-produced solutions utilized by a leading pharmaceutical company against Mediline’s validated solutions.
The scene was set for Mediline’s success story in Turkey, when an important Benchmarking Study took place, under the supervision of a leading international pharmaceutical company. Our now-customers/clients agreed to test the isothermal packaging they used at the time, against Mediline’s validated solutions. This Study was conducted by an independent organization, utilizing advanced measuring technology to test the performance of both packaging products under the same conditions.

Research / Methodology
- Comparative testing of thermal packaging solutions currently in use by a leading pharmaceutical company against Mediline same-size packaging, conducted by an independent thermal measurement company
- Results confirmed Mediline’s superior performance to comply with the long and difficult transport routes and weather conditions characteristic of Turkey.
- First case of designing and developing Medline solutions in association with the customer data.
- Implementation of all Design, Prequalification and Validation protocols in accordance with the reputable, multinational standard AFNOR, which was not a familiar methodology in Turkey
- New approach and output for local temperature profiles corresponding to Turkey’s very specific transportation environment
- Approval by the company’s global Head of Quality Control Department
- Significant success in Performance Tests throughout various destinations after the in house Prequalification (Thermal Chamber) tests
Outcome
The positive results of the Benchmarking Study provided Mediline with key advantages for serving the Turkish market with quality passive temperature-controlled packaging. The confirmation of the superior performance of Mediline solutions reinforced the company’s launch in the country by engaging the business of the supervising pharmaceutical company, one of the most reputable multinational drug companies in the industry, as the first client for Mediline Turkey in the pharmaceutical sector. Further, our capabilities were strengthened by several, validated off-the-shelf, solutions readily available for use. The long-term effects of this ground breaking study, where Mediline joined in partnership with the prospective client in the design and development process, led our team to a full understanding of the challenges of pharmaceutical distribution in Turkey, which we share with our clients to day giving our products the competitive edge.
